M&A Ventures Group needed a brand identity system to encompass their brand ethos and represent their parent company and three company pillars.
The Solution
After a strategic research and workshop process, we created a system of iconography based on the silhouette of the hourglass.
The hourglass embodies a profound narrative: unlimited potential, time as a luxury, flow of opportunity, and renewability and rebirth.
To complement the hourglass, we designed wordmarks with intention, using meaningful typefaces designed by Black typographers.
We also used typefaces designed by Black typographers to create the brand's typography suite.
To marry the entire brand identity, we created a colour palette that is modern and professional with an energetic, striking edge.
The Result
A distinct brand identity designed with strategy, research, and intention. The iconic hourglass silhouette, paired with wordmarks comprised of a consistent font choice, serve as iconic signifiers for the brand.
The intention behind the brand identity design, and the ode to Black typographers is a reflection of the brand's mission to create a world that is more equitable and healthy for underrepresented communities, especially Black people.
